All the rain left me with this (dial-up warning, photos)
It has rained all night long. This morning, I woke up to this all this. I hope too much of my driveway doesn't wash away. It's pouring over it. It's starting to come up through the cracks in the basement floor too. It's a good thing I'm home today. :(

3. Thinking of you
takes me away for a time. :)

It's okay. I've never seen the pasture under water like that. Bandit will either be angry or enjoy splashing in it.

I've got to get some boxes moved around in the basement so they don't get wet.

:loveya:

If it was warmer than 50 degrees, I'd be out there barefoot in it. :hi:

Where've you been? More important, how've you been??

12. Been fine
I've been around, just not as often. I've been apartment hunting and busy at work, and otherwise distracted. How are you, aside from soaked?

It rained steady (and hard) all night. It will take a few days for the water to recede in the pasture and weeks for the drainage ditches to dry out.

I'll take whatever you've got buddhamama.

I wish it was warmer. I really want to go play in it. ;)

29. Let me 'splain
He also got the power envelope, pre-amp, tuner and all the other stereo stuff. Most of my vinyl was ruined in the 1994 ice storm when the basement flooded. We saved some, but I didn't have any way to play it and only could take what fit in a 14' U-Haul.

And no, you're not going to hell for that. You owe Lelapin flowers or something though. ;)

20. The water's going down in the yard
The water in the basement is coming up - through the concrete floor. It'll be days until the runoff from the fields has stopped. Then things can really dry out.

28. It's an old farmhouse with an old leaky foundation
But it's been here longer than I've been alive. I put the plastic storage containers on the floor and put cardboard boxes on top of those. It's obvious from the stains where the water runs (downhill to the sump pump pit), so I try to avoid putting anything there.

This place, despite it's quirks, fits like an old shoe. I love it here. :)

32. It's an afternoon game I think
and we're catching people in the parking lots because they have to give us their license plate numbers for the BMV to consider it as a true signature.

I'll keep you posted.
