I'm excited for a couple of reasons.
Mr. and Mrs. Maestro are actually going out tomorrow night. We don't get to do this often and the fact that it is on a Sunday is going to mean that Monday is pure hell. But I don't care. A co-worker and I bought tickets to go see the Pet Shop Boys. Man, this brings back some clubbing memories. He's taking his S.O. and I am taking my wife.

So here is to the Pet Shop Boys and their anti-* song I'm With Stupid. I can't wait to hear it live!

6. They sure are!
But they have been making some good music all through the nineties and 2000s. They just don't get the airplay except on satellite radio.

4. I can already tell you that Nokia is pretty nice.
I've been there four other times with my kids watching The Wiggles in concert and Dora the Explorer as well. That is why I am so excited to be doing something adult!

10. I will
However, I have been dragging today. I'm not sure why. It is just one of those days. I'll have to psyche myself up later. I think I will go for a jog or bike ride. I need to get my blood moving.

13. The concert was much better than expected.
It was pure electronica bliss with a nice minimalistic theatrical stage presentation, great sound thanks to the theater's acoustics, a festive crowd and all around a very upbeat night. PSB played most of their songs from the new album plus a good mix of oldies. The anti-* rant I'm with Stupid was very nicely done with great graphics flashing behind them of * and Blair. They ended the night with It's a Sin and Go West which according to my gay buddy who was with us became sort of an anthem in the gay clubs several years back. What was really nice were the back-up singers. Man, they had pipes! He was two men and a woman who could armonize incredibly well. It was very impressive. There were some freestyle dancers that did everything from ballet to break dancing.

If you get a chance, check PSB out, you will not be disappointed.

17. It was interesting to say the least.
Nokia is a nice "intimate" venue. When I was a kid, all the concerts were so big. The bands either played Reunion Arena with 16,000 seats available for concerts at the time or the friggin' Cotton Bowl for big all day "Jams." Occasionally a band would play the Bronco Bowl in Oak Cliff. That is where I caught The Alarm in the late 80s. It seated maybe 1,500. I'm not sure.

15. Glad you had fun!
Once in awhile I have my 80's music mood, and PSB are usually played. Really takes me back to the days...:hi:

16. You need to check out some of their later material.
They really haven't stopped putting out quality synth-pop since the 80s. Now I want to catch Depeche Mode again next time they are in time as well as New Order and The Cure.
