Mouse in the house
The little bugger has been eating the soap in the bathroom vanity and has somehow eaten the peanutbutter in the no kill trap without getting caught, TWICE.
I may need a bigger trap.

2. Wow - your kitty looks exactly like our little girlcat...
Ours is in the doghouse at the moment, however: she demonstrated her hunting skills by bringing a giant rat up into the apartment hallway, but she lost interest when it hid behind a basket, where it eventually died. Not real pleasant after a few days... :(

3. "Bear" has never had to kill a rat or mouse...
...in our house, at least. He once escaped, for three days, when we were gone on vacation. When we got back and discovered him missing we searched all over the neighborhood. My husband, who has fantastic hearing, heard a very faint meow from the storm drain. Sure enough, that's where he'd been hiding. When we eventually freed "Bear" from the drain he was HUGE!! The vet said he'd eaten "small rodents." So, I guess that solved the mystery of why we've never had rodents in our home!

4. It's good to know he can take care of himself outside, at least
Our other cat is strictly indoor; he's escaped twice for 3-4 days, and both times he came slinking back underweight, throwing up, and terrified. I'm afraid he's a bit of a freeper - no brains, not competence, no courage, but a huge sense of self-entitlement!

5. Caught two so far this week
The first was a fat little bugger. Must have been him that snuck the food out of the trap twice. The second one was a scrawny thing. I just hope there aren't any more but catching two is a bad sign.

6. You might want to try
wedging the peanut butter in there, so the little guy (or girl) has to struggle more to get it. It may give the trap more opportunity to close.
