2. That poor girl!
Can you imagine the scars this is going to leave, loosing her father, being the one that caused it, and having to deal the survivor's guilt?

It's horrible that he's gone, but his suffering at least is over. She's going to be suffering for a very long time.

I hope the family is forgiving and supportive. She's going to need it.

4. Actually, in a somewhat similar story...
The minister at the church my parents go to was paralyzed in a car accident while he was teaching his son to drive.

The family dealt with it remarkably well, but I still can't imagine how they convinced that kid to ever get behind the wheel of a car again.

6. I'll say this about the man...
...although he was skilled at many things, apparently teaching driver's education was not one of them.

7. Wow... every dad's nightmare come true.
I do feel bad for the girl - she has to carry that for the rest of her life.

9. Reminds me of that 7-year-old girl who died trying to pilot a plane - her
name was Jessica Dubroff, and her mother seemed unmoved by the loss of her own daughter.

11. I'm sorry bob, it's not the same.
Bet me, she ran a little off the road and then over-corrected. Jessica Dubroff's parents were incapable of determining what is childish, and what is child like.
