News crawls give me a headache.

I wouldn't be surprised if crawls induced seizures in those susceptible. The damn things give me a headache. As a rule of thumb, I watch no news channel with a crawl. I wait for 6:00 or 10:00 for BBC World like a dignified person.

2. Maybe it's just me but I think they are somewhat ineffective also.

We cannot process that information which we read while listening to the news reports. You cannot properly attend to both.

The crawlers sometimes interfere with what I am listening to, so if I am listening, I have to turn my head away as seeing the words can mess with my auditory processor.

Maybe it's just me, but my brain doesn't appreciate that much stimulation at once.

He thinks they are very amusing and chases it from one side of the screen to the other. He even bats at it.
