8. wow.
you are one twisted chick, lol. "Sid & Nancy"? That movie always makes me feel several tokes over the line for some reason. And I always wonder what happened to the cat, too. They never show any good movies on tv. It sucks. But the bad ones they show over and over and over again.

9. It's my most favorite movie of all time.
Well, I also love the Goonies too, but Sid & Nancy is like two fucked up people who managed to find each other. It's my version of romance. :)

Um, yeah. And then he killed her and then he OD'd and everyone lived happily ever after...

man, check this out:
"By 1974 he had already begun using drugs intravenously with his mother, particularly amphetamines."

What parenting skills. Always teach your children the proper mainlining skills.

My ex's Dad did that to her, he was a coke dealer and got her hooked on it at 12, under the logic she'd use it anyway, so it would be better she got it from him. Boggles the mind.

16. Actually, I was talking more of the reject angle, as usual with me.
They were fucked up (rejected) people who found each other. From what I have read, Sid didn't start shooting heroin until after he met Nancy, but that is arguable. Drugs aside, rejects finding each other is still a kickass romance to me.

19. Number 1: The Empire Strikes Back
Why? Great love story, action packed, the rebels are on the run from the get-go and never stop running and, best of all, the bad guys win. Sure, its only the middle of the story, but how many truly great movies in this world do you know of where the bad guys win?

Rounding out my top 10:

2) Aliens (second one)
3) The Matrix (scariest rise of the machine concept ever)
4) Jurassic Park (edge of my seat the whole time, every time - oh, and, scariest sound effect ever for the T-Rex)
5) SW: Return of the Jedi (yes, 3 of my top 10 are Star Wars)
6) Akira (deepest Anime movie ever, and soooooooo cool to look at)
7) Ghostbusters (back off man, I'm a scientist)
8) Real Genius (seen it a thousand times, still makes me laugh)
9) The Forbidden Planet (invisible monsters of the Id, scarrrrry)
10) SW: A New Hope (I suppose we should start calling it that now)
