Was hanging out in my backyard...then up into the ivy where the little birds stay between snacking on the birdseed I have for them.

Then a lot of flapping and chirping

It came out with one of my little friends...

but...he/she's so BEAUTIFUL.....it almost makes up for it.

2. looks like a coopers hawk.

they're SUPPOSED to eat the pigeons.

sometimes they don't.

Little guy didn't have a chance.

I hope that it doesn't feel that this a food depot..

4. peregrine like coopers

usually hunt on the wing.

so that's not their preferred way to get food.

but who knows -- i have coopers a few feet from my front door -- and i feed the birds -- but usually they don't bother them.

however an adolescent was on my fence right outside my bedroom window a couple weeks ago.

And it is often cruel.
