Shortest instantly recognizable jingles?
For me, I'd say it is the three tones from the Duracell advertisements. I recognize the ESPN MNF one, even though I'm not much of a sports fan.

11. I swear I heard a PA system tone in Lowe's the other day...
that sounded JUST like the NBC tones.

23. Or dinner gong on the old trains
They used to strike the same three notes to announce each sitting in the dinning car. The porter would walk up and down the train and hit those three notes on an xylophone thingy in each car. I still have a Pavlovian dog reaction when I hear it today. FOOD!

That's on every commercial for a computer with an Intel chip...their own little sub-commercial for 2 secs.
