No, I will not go see Saw III

My boyfriend suggested it, and I said no. I know for a fact that I can't handle the gore.

It's kind of funny. I've disected and necropsied lots of specimines. I've seen uncensored footage of an actual autopsy. But I can't, for the life of me, deal with horror movie gore.

1. Same here. Won't see Saw III, won't see Grudge 2.

Just the previews freaked me the hell out.

2. Grudge 2 probably wouldn't bother me

In fact, I enjoy the original Ju-on. Jhorror in general is nice for me, because it's creepy but without the extensive gore that'll stay in my brain for weeks.

That is why I see a lot more Hollywood movies copy this way of doing horrror.

It'd be a good thing to see for those of us who haven't seen Saw.

6. The ambulance service here have issued a warning about Saw III

Apparently 4 people in one ambulance area have been taken away by ambulance after collapsing in a screening of this film. It must be rather intense.

Myself, I led a sheltered childhood, no violent or scarey movies and never became desensitised to them so a film like this is not something I can handle at all.

8. I've become a little desensitized

When I was younger, I couldn't deal with the violence in your general R rated action movie. I still have problems with horror, though.

9. I'm the total opposite.

Watching horror gore is like nothing to me because I've seen so much footage of real-life gore (autopsies, sex change surgeries, suicide, executions, accidents, etc), which is far worse to watch due to the human emotion that often goes with it. Maybe because I just know it's fake, I've become numb to it all.
