I think I can get my van fixed, but where? |
|
Got some unexpected money and I think I've got enough.
The question is, how to find a place to get it fixed. It needs its head gaskets replaced. The problem is, they have to drop the engine to do it so there's about 11 hours labor.
The shop where I normally take it wants about 1600 but I trust them.
Another shop has estimated 1200 but I've never gone there before.
I don't trust Canadian Tire to change a tire, never mind work on a car.
The dealership is probably a fortune, but they might have a warranty arrangement on the work.
How do you go about finding a reputable place that will do a good job on a Ford Windstar?

2. Whereabouts are you TrogL? |
|
I have a very trustworthy mechanic in Vancouver whom I would refer anyone to. As for Crappy Tire...never, ever, ever ever bring your vehicle to them. :-)

and moved back to Ontario.
He lived in and around Edmonton for years. I will try and get in touch with him this evening and see if he has anyone and pass the information on to you.
