7. It confuses the hell out of me, too.
She's actually very straight, but not a homophobe. Anyway, she's more of a real conservative than a neo-con, but she is a registered Freeper and she hates Democrats, but will be friends with them.

I ended up knowing her because she married my friend.

"To: SJackson
I was too shy for boys

As stated in a mandatory assembly in my daughter's Jr Hi,

If you feel uncomfortable or nervous around people of the opposite sex, you are probably gay. What you should do is have a couple gay experiences and a couple straight experiences and then see which fits you better. If you don't know anyone to do it with, I'll be happy to do it with you.

18. My favorite part.....
and by "favorite" I mean the part that pisses me off the most...

Is the fact that when freepers do something they regret, they ALWAYS blame it on someone or something else. It's not enough for her to just say "I had a relationship with a woman that became too close for my comfort level". Instead she has to make her friend out to be a sexual predator. How f*cked up is that? Playing the role of victim when you weren't victimized does nothing but make life harder for those who really are abused.

14. Too bad it wasn't a boy hitting on her, he'd have NEVER
tried to manipulate her.

Though, for some reason, I don't believe her. This reads more like a composite, like those dumb Fundie cartoon fantasies, than like a real event. Sounds like her idea of a typical situation, more than a real event, maybe based on her work with this fundie brainwashing group she mentions. No details on food, or the movie, or the woman, or the job. Though, she is a terrible writer, very repetitive and with little actual substance, so it could be that. But, just seems unconvincing to me.

20. Maybe some, but it doesn't sound like she's relating a real event.
Too vague on some points. If I were psycho-analyzing her (not that they let me do that), I'd say that she probably had some questions and doubts at that age, and may have even had a couple of lesbian friends who talked openly with her, but the story of this one woman who hit on her the way she described is faked, or a composite of what she's heard at her "job." The details are most absent on what this woman was like, why she was attracted to the other woman (other than that she was shy and lonely and happy to have a friend--a friend she doesn't describe in any real way).

Or I'd guess she's covering something up. Maybe she didn't walk away, and so she is ashamed (because of her mindset now) to describe the woman. Someone who describes the car a teacher drove but can't describe another pivotal person in her life beyond "she took me to a marvelous movie" just seems unconvincing. This "recruiter" sounds more like a glorified version of herself than a real person.

Or maybe she's just so self-centered she sees the whole world as an extension of herself. Would explain why she works so hard to brainwash others to her beliefs.

21. I think the writer actually is a lesbian.
Just very, very closeted.

Notice how she never says anywhere that she is attracted to men? She excuses her lack of attraction to men by saying she was "under the age of 20". I'll tell you what, I knew I liked boys about age 12 when I developed a raging crush on a guy who sat next to me in band. By the time I was 20, well...let's just not go there.

34. Isn't this nice?
I am now active in homosexual crisis counseling. I see, over and over again, the fraud of the homosexual community. I see young and old, men and women, many of whom are religiously observant, all conflicted in their homosexual lifestyle. I feel their pain and heartbreak at being torn between the only world they know and the world they know that G-d has planned for them. I see time and time again how much they struggle to leave their homosexual lifestyle, only to have their lover use their family and faith against them.

But, I tell my clients, "You have a choice." I came to a fork in the road and fortunately chose the path that has given me a completion and a happiness that is truly consistent with G-d's plan of creation. Based upon my experience, it is clear you do not have to be a homosexual. You were not born a homosexual nor do you need to live as a homosexual and, certainly, do not need to die a homosexual. Through faith, prayer, and the help provided by organizations like JONAH, there is hope and life.

36. Ah, the old "based upon my experience" argument.
"Based upon my experience, it is clear you do not have to be a homosexual."

Based upon my experience, God has no plan of creation, God does not exist, and many people who claim to follow God simply use the word "God" to justify their own hatred and bigotry. So I guess the "writer" now has to change her views, since I've proven my point exactly the way she has proven hers. Or else she has to agree that different people have different experiences and therefore she should speak only for herself. I'll bet she wouldn't understand that. God would tell her not to.
