Poll question: Should I transition to 'Metric Time'?
My official time piece seems to think so... I guess I should go with it.

When I went to reset my Complementary Smithsonian Subscription Gift Clock© for
the time change... It went nuts.

Now, I have twelve 100 minute hours.

(Never knew my birthday was consecrated to oat grass on the French Republican calendar. Huzzah!:))

4. I was aware of Buck Roger's attempt to move to the 'Apollo Calendar'...
In late 1968... But, I must admit I wasn't aware of the 'French Republican Calendar'.

I notice there's still a 12 clock in the background of the 10 hour clocks displayed
on the wiki page.

I guess they realized the transition was going to take some 'time'.

Get it? TIME!!!!

uh.

:)

I guess you had to be there.

6. Maybe we should tell NY99 about this; give the birthday threads a new wrinkle

Happy birthday Prag and happy Donkey Day! Happy birthday UDL and happy Oatgrass Day!

Edit: Christmas is Dog Day; my brother's birthday is Topsoil Day; but December 28 takes the biscuit I think: Manure Day.

3. I don't know anything about alternative time, but...
I remember this one guy on The Daily Show several years back who claimed he could replace most units of length, mass, and time with a single convoluted unit called the "Robert."
