3. Yeah, CalPeg, it IS a downer. I can't even begin to describe the
disgust and loathing I have for the Abu Ghraib torturers. I know they were acting on orders from the administration, but that doesn't mean they had to follow them. A soldier is morally, ethically and legally bound to disobey an illegal or immoral order. I say that as a former soldier myself. Instead, they gleefully went about it, doing the most filthy and despicable things they could dream up. They made a mockery of our American way of doing things, and descended to the level of terrorism themselves.

If Lynndie England and her ilk burn in Hell forever, it will not be long enough.

4. PERFECT!
I wonder if there's a Shakespeare quote about hell and those deserving of it...

8. I'm good, Triple R. How about you?
One more workday until the weekend. And it's gonna be a half-day. Cool! Only thing is, I'm gonna be on pins and needles until after Election Day. I know how far ahead we are nationally, but if the past six years have taught me anything, it's that the repukes can successfully steal elections. :scared:

9. Yup.
That's got me jittery, too (shhhhh, don't tell anyone. To the naked eye, I'm the very model of optimism and good cheer). And using new machines that people are already fussing over makes me nervous.

We've got the longest ballot that we've had in 100 years. So what do they do? Limit voting time to 10 minutes.

Oh, this is gonna be lovely.

:eyes:

But shhhhhh...remember...don't tell anyone.

Otherwise, I'm hanging in here. Some things never change.

Blast it all.

;)

10. Well done
"Vile" is such a good word, I think. Onomatopoetic.

Thank you for the reminder of what we must not let this country become.
