I've lost my taste for that, though.

29. I love spinach
especially with soy sauce on it. That's how my mom used to fix it. She'd steam the frozen kind and then put a little soy sauce on it. I actually liked it better than corn on the cob!

I used to love fizzies. Basically they were like flavored Alka-Seltzer tablets. You'd put one tablet in a glass of water, and it would turn into a fizzy soda type drink. They came in a bunch of different flavors: cola, grape, root beer, lemon lime, cherry, etc. I'm pretty sure they stopped making it a long time ago.

Of course, to the detriment of my waistline

5. Fizzies!
But not to drink, we liked to put them on our tongues and feel them bubble up.

I also had an affection for Hostess Fruit Pies; we only got them for field trip lunches so they were a huge treat. Can't stand 'em now though; too, TOO sweet.

58. That's what I did with Fizzies. I only put it in water once. From then on,
I just put the tablet in my mouth.

With crunchberries. Peanut butter Captain Crunch if I got a hankerin'. In front of Saturday morning cartoons, of course.

Madame Celeste frozen pizzas with the freaky square pieces of pepperoni or sausage.

Spaghetti-Os...Chef Boyardee ravioli (ewww now that I think about it, what WAS that meat?)

Kool-Aid. But my mom only got orange because my brother was older and he preferred that flavor. I would have sold my soul for a pitcher of grape Kool-Aid JUST ONCE.

30. Dixie Cups
A staple at birthday parties. They were cup-sized servings of usually vanilla ice cream. I remember they came with these little wooden paddle things that worked as spoons.

Sno-cones (we called them "snowballs") flavored shaved ice in a cup sometimes with marshmallow on top.

Two slices of white bread smeared with peanut butter with a chuck of iceberg lettuce (lightly salted). Also liked bologna sadwiches on dark rye (or pumpernickel) with either mustard or Dean's French onion dip as a spread.

On occasion I still indulge. My kids wrinkle their noses at both of my palate pleasers.

60. Things that I LOVED that I just can't deal with now
Guacamole - the merest trace of that or just plain avocado can make me queasy. I used to love it but I think it jumped the shark when I had an awful chimichanga from TGIFridays with this guac puree that I've never recovered from.

Brains and eggs - I start staggering when I not only contemplate having eaten this but also that I JONESED for it as a wee one.

Milk - Oh please, I used to down gallons of the stuff. Today, other than the half&half I add to my coffee, I just can't cope. And the weird thing is I have no problem with cheese. It's just the idea of drinking a whole glass of just MILK that gives me the willies.

Cheezits or cheese flavored Goldfish - OK, I can tolerate this, e.g. in a party snack mix. But whereas as a boy, I could snack on these like they were going out of style, today, I find the cheese taste bitter, sour and fake.
