Is anybody into that new show "Heroes" on NBC?
I'm not really into comic books but I really like this comic book like show. Can't to see what happens this coming Monday.

Anyone else into "Heroes"?

1. I've been watching it -
Thought this last episode was a bit slow, but overall am enjoying it. My favorite 'character' is Hiro, and it just occurred to me this past week that Peter Petrelli takes on the powers of anyone near him, he doesn't really have any of his own (at least that's how it seems). :hi:

4. I like Hiro too...
and the Cheerleader. However, if I were the creator I'd make Claire a dowdy bookworm type... but a cheerleader works I guess.

Say, what about her dad? Any thoughts about what his deal is?

7. Well - he's definitely a baddie.
He hired those people to pose as Claire's parents - AND that girl (can't remember her name) making the moves on Mohinder is working with him. He really creeps me out.

It looks like Niki's husband may end up being 'good' and I haven't quite figured her out yet.

Lots still a mystery - that's part of the draw I guess. :hi:

9. The reason I asked about the dad...
and why I'm wondering what his deal is... is because he could have seriously messed up the rapist quarterback but chose only to wipe away his memory. What's up with that?

Collecting memories? Maybe it was more beneficial to have the QB's memories; especially the ones about Claire so he can use them?

That reminds me of when he had Matt (the cop) and took his memories too. Could have just killed him.

12. So the guy that follows the dad around collects memories?
I didn't catch that - is that what he does?

14. I think the deal is that he's able to wipe them out.
Have to admit, it's pretty handy for a government agent to have.

16. Yes - he 'wipes' their minds -
With the cop, that guy wiped out a couple of days - with the QB, a lot more since he didn't recognize Claire. Make sense?

3. Hell yes.
The last episode was nice. Can't wait until everything comes together.

Pity that the rumors of Sean Bean playing Sylar were false.

5. I'm still trying to figure out who sylar is...
I know he left messages on the murdered doctors answering machine... is he the child kidnapper/serial killer?

11. Yeah.
That explains most of the stuff we've seen him do, except for freezing that one guy.

15. Episode 2.
When we're introduced to Matt at Sylar's crime scene, there's a frozen guy with the top of his head sawed off.

17. I had forgotten about that - the brain was missing.
And when Hiro in the future went to Isaac's studio, his head was sawed off and brain missing too (not frozen though). Why?

19. At a guess, Sylar's taking or eating the brains of other superheroes, trying to gain their powers.
We don't know what the success/failure rate is, but assuming Sylar's starting ability was TK, it worked at least once, or he couldn't have pulled off the freezing thing.

Charming bastard, isn't he?

Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 06:25 PM by sparosnare
I keep thinking the have to be connected, but then again, maybe not. Sylar is evil; so is Niki.

21. I've heard people speculating Claire's dad is trying to figure out who Sylar is...
...but that theory has some holes in it. They may be unrelated until Sylar goes for Claire.

the government toadie working for the cheerleader's dad?

With that said, the "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" tagline needs to stop. The sooner, the better.

29. I agree. The show is too good for that tag line.
It just doesn't need it.

In other news, Hiro and Ando are adorably original characters. I don't really care about Niki or Peter Petrelli, but Hiro and Ando make them interesting.

32. I love this show!!! It's my next favorite after 'House'
I am into comic book characters and the X-Men in general. I watched the marathon a few Sundays ago and I fell in love with the show. I am not sure if it's a mini-series or if it's a full fledged show.

I like the heroin addicted artist, Hiro, Claire and Peter.

But Niki freaks me out.
