He wants some penne pasta to go with it, so the water is heating now. I REALLY need to abstain from the carbs but probably won't tonight. Gotta get off here and fix a salad. :hi:

I don't drink coffee so I've never needed one. However I have a frequent visitor who does drink coffee & is tired of being shown to the jar of the instant stuff.

11. a muller (?) and a new freaking cheese grater
sick of the old rusty POS but hate to drop 5 or 6 bucks at Safeway for another POS that will rust in a couple weeks. I want a nice one. Bet they don't even exist. Probably have to buy some kind of damn machine that uses electricity and has to be dismantled to clean.

I have several of the OXO products & have been well pleased with the quality. I don't have this grater yet but it is on my list.

20. We have that one...
It is awesome.. After about a month of normal use two people can now use it on opposite ends of the kitchen at the same time. Ours broke rather quickly.

Are you in a house or apt? Check out solar ovens or even a crock pot on the porch works for doing roasts and chickens etc.

23. Scooba
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 11:24 PM by jriles
I already have a roomba robotic vacuum for the rest of the apartment, now I want a scooba robotic mop for the tile in the kitchen and bathroom. What could be more democratic than putting the cleaning into the hands of a robot?
I had my fingers crossed on buying the first one, since, in my humble opinion, few electronic products designed to relieve the more drudgerous aspects of domesticity live up their name. But I was so impressed with the vacuum, I'm definitely going to buy the mop as soon as I pay off last months credit card bill.
The roomba is absolutely the best household product purchase I've made in years.

I don't know this board's policy on posting urls, so I won't. But the company is called irobot and you can get to them by adding a www. to the front and a .com to the back.
