My wife is totallyt geeked about having a jewelry party next week. Hey, guys don't have fishing tackle parties. Or CD parties. I just don't get it.

8. It's like an expensive Tupperware party |
|
They have a bunch of jewelry and some catalogs. Everybody orders something and the host gets some free jewelry out tof it. It's okay looking stuff--in this case Sepuveda, or something like that--but it reminds me of an Amway thing. Everybody wants to host one so they can get some free stuff. The more people order, the more free crap you get.

9. I'm another who never heard of jewelry parties |
|
I have, however, known quite a few who went to tupperware, cosmetics and candle parties..none of which I have ever attended. Then again, I also despise going to bridal or baby showers (unless they DON'T have those stupid games they normally all seem to have, ugh). Am I the only female who loathes these types of things?

10. I been to a Princess House party . . . . |
|
they can be KINDA fun because you bring snackies and it's just women there (well, it doesn't HAVE to be, but I think that's the way it works out!)and you get to visit and kid around and maybe get to know some new people. I ordered some candles and candle holders which were fun and different from what I'd just go buy at a store.
A jewelry party is a new one on me -- -but I'd have fun going if I could afford to spend a few bucks on jewelry because I love to look at jewelry but very rarely buy anything.
It's a Woman Thing. Some women don't like women-things, and that's okay too. But I think it's the relaxed atmosphere and snackies and socializing that kind of make these things fun. Theoretically, nobody's obligated to buy anything, but it's not fun to go if you don't have the money to buy something if you feel like it.
