51. Hey, welcome back! I was in Florida from Oct. 7th to the 25th. (Ft. Myers Beach & Orlando)

I went for my 50th High School reunion. Almost every day was in the 90s. I'm not going again in the fall.
Only time I can tolerate the Florida climate is during the deep winter.

We'll be back in Orlando in December 2008, if my memory serves me correctly. Our travel schedule is so complicated I ask my husband to email it to me every month.

Mt Tecumseh is east of us; we can see it out the kitchen windows. One early October afternoon I saw something that summed it. The mountain was capped with snow, but the foliage was at peak. The mountain was like an ancient empress, serene and stately, wearing a parure of rubies and gold over a green velvet gown; her white hair gleaming in the sunlight. A rain shower had just passed through and she was crowned with a rainbow.

There can't be too many places in the world where you could see something like that.
