Do you wish there were a compromise of the Lounge and GD/GD-P?

I absolutely love spirited political discussion; that's what drew me to DU. But GD and GD-P often get rather — well, let's say "too spirited." However, one sometimes tires of thread after thread of cat pics, copycats and "What's on your iPod?" (I don't even have an iPod, nor do I want one.)

What we need is a GD-DGP (Don't Get Personal).

Seriously though, iPods are awesome. I highly recommend one. If my Jeep didn't have 143,000 miles on it, I'd totally get an iPod system built in.
