I'm looking forward to a boring Friday
enough excitement from yesterday. I work as a product evaluator and tech support in a telecomm test lab. A circuit board in one of my systems caught fire yesterday and set off the building's smoke alarm. The system is old and it's a known problem and the manufacturer is working on a solution, an improved circuit board. The big problem is that the system has been discontinued years ago and is not a high priority. This incident should kick that closer to the top.

Working with the boss to write a report on this.

Hope you have a boring, uh, less exciting, Friday.

6. Shameless kick and update
:kick:

and update--I've sent my incident report input to the boss. He'll add what he thinks is appropriate and forward to our General Manager and Lab Manager.

Most of the burning plastic smell is gone.
