Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 12:32 PM by lildreamer316
I still watch him religiously every Saturday night on Biography Channel.
P.S. I remember a thread earlier this year about him we ended up keeping alive for several days....
Definatly a mark of a great actor, that we still remember him so well.

5. I'm afraid Jeremy died a while back
Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 01:21 PM by TheBaldyMan
He was my favourite Sherlock Holmes even beating Basil Rathbone.

He died of a heart attack. His death came as a great shock to all his friends and fans and he is greatly missed. At least we can still see his performances as the great detective.

6. Wasn't Brett in ill health for some time, though?
As a hardcore Holmes fanatic from the age of, I dunno, seven, probably, I of course was a huge Brett fan. He is sorely missed, and was simply spellbinding as Holmes.

Well, happy birthday then, J.B.

I hope his loved ones know how much he was, and is, admired for his exceptional acting abilties.

9. I didn't realize until a couple of years ago
that he also played Freddy Aynsford-Hill in the 1964 movie version of My Fair Lady.

Wow. My wife has me watch that with her at least once a year. Can't believe I never noticed! Will do, from here on out. Thanks for the info.

13. Yes, he was indeed the perfect Holmes.
From the way he sat in chairs to how he loaded his pipe, he was perfect.

And a goddamn incredible actor overall, too - one of the finest.
