If you don't like brainiacs...
don't answer the ad of one. :eyes:

Mini-rant--just (couple of days ago) got an answer to my ad (not telling which service. :P). I read the corresponding ad, in addition to a few incompatible points, there's a mark in the turn-offs for brainiacs. I had to double-check my ad--B.S. in Applied Physics from Georgia Tech (had to find something I could pass, I almost failed Electrical Engineering) and a trivia fan. Telecomm engineer by profession. Don't know about you, but IMO, that means "brainiac". This isn't the first time it's happened, and I don't think my photos are THAT good, just OK. A few have been posted here.

Some days I can't buy a break. :(

That's all.

6. Nah, just the idiots are.
Granted, most of the world are idiots or assholes.

I love nerds.

2. Perhaps that isn't that person's opinion of "brainiac"...
I have known hairstylists that would qualify as brainiacs, and engineers who wouldn't. :hi: Go for it.

7. The mind boggles...
... at the type of mind that would say "brainiacs" are a turn off. Insecure much? Having said that, I hate the term "brainiac." I guarantee you that the person who coined it certainly wasn't one, though he undoubtedly thought himself quite clever.

If I couldn't hang with people smarter than I am, I'd have offed myself some time ago.

10. My feelings exactly.
One of my required qualities of a partner is intelligence. My wife has a master's degree in chemistry, and my previous fiancee had a masters degree in computer science. If the person I'm with doesn't provide some interesting conversations and dialog, I couldn't stay interested for long.

For example, one girl I dated had the looks and endowments of a playboy bunny, but she also would hold her watch up to the glow from my digital clock to tell the time (honest to god). That was doomed.

The only type of person who would hate a "brainiac" must be the type of person who has been dumped by anyone with an IQ so therefore should be avoided.
