5. I was just thinking of your threads after watching Olivier's Henry V
This is my favorite speech from that play:

But if the cause be not good, the king himself hath
a heavy reckoning to make, when all those legs and
arms and heads, chopped off in battle, shall join
together at the latter day and cry all 'We died at
such a place;' some swearing, some crying for a
surgeon, some upon their wives left poor behind
them, some upon the debts they owe, some upon their
children rawly left. I am afeard there are few die
well that die in a battle; for how can they
charitably dispose of any thing, when blood is their argument?
Now, if these men do not die well, it
will be a black matter for the king that led them to
it; whom to disobey were against all proportion of
subjection.

6. I used that one last Memorial Day, jpgray.

The Olivier "Henry V" had some interesting scenes, including the beginning, where they start out in The Globe theater. But the battle scenes were much too clean and orderly for my tastes. The Branagh "Henry V" really captures the mud, filth and disorder of Agincourt much better. Plus the character Michael William's line-reading of this passage was much better, much more realistic in the Branagh 'Henry'.

8. I was trying to relieve the pre-Election Day jitters with a funny, non-
political subject. Glad you liked it, Triple R. :hi:
