I am purchasing dining room furniture tomorrow...
after months of search, I am at long last buying something I found last June. Especially considering I sold a beautiful dining room set last April...but was downsizing and didn't have room for the enormous pieces.

Why the hell are major furniture purchases so damn stressful?

1. Because they are expensive!
And you have to make sure you're really getting what you want.

3. Major furniture purchases are not stressful.
Your stress is coming from elsewhere. Hint, hint.

4. Thanks to all who offered encouragement...this was a lot of $$$ in a single purchase.
But, I have purchased the furniture, and it is being delivered on Tuesday. Oh, the store was offering a 15 percent discount. See below for a photo of what I purchased.

6. Thanks, Bunny, so do I.
I spent six months looking at furniture. I had downsized from a big house and sold an enormous dining room set for very little money to an antiques dealer, one that I hated giving up. But there was no room for it in my small dining area. It'll be great to have that creature comfort again.
