I think I've decided I need to make some changes in my life.

Living at home is killing me. I just can't do it. I'm liking going to school, and it's in my long term best interest, but I don't think my sanity or my spirit can survive being here for years, so if I have to give up school to get away I will. I can't fucking stand these people. If we weren't related I'd never talk to them, or put up with the dismissive and emotionally abusive way they speak to me. I need to find a way out. Soon.

Sounds like you're in a really bad spot. I have a few family members that I would never speak to if they weren't family.

I hope you find a solution that preserves your sanity & spirit. Those are more important than school, for the time being. Once you get those back you can re-think school.

I'm not really comfortable being around my mother, nor my brother. My mother is overbearing and my brother is abusive, and both Freepers who don't approve of me. Just because we're related to people is no reason to be near them. I like the rest of my family a lot, miss my father and my grandmother everyday. But you don't go into specifics. Is there any reason that you have to be with them? I did it for far too long, when I was ill, and my heart goes out to you. If you don't have to and can still go to school, move on, my friend. :hug:
