Lyrics/song help, please. I have a snippet going through |
|
my brain and have no idea who wrote it/where it's from and I'm going to go berserk. All I can say is it's either a full song excerpted/reused in a 90's song, or was always just part of a chorus. Vocals sound, near the end of the phrase, like BB King. All I know is "I've been down on my knees, down on my knees, ever since you left me baby" (Or something to that effect). Please, dear god, can someone tell me what it is so I can get it OUT OF MY HEAD? I like the way it sounds and want to either find the full song (hopefully sung by someone with soul like BB) or forget it if it's nothing but a chorus line.
Help! Help!
And if it's something major that I have no clue about, please feel free to point out my utter lack of cutting edge knowledge, I freely admit to being clueless. If it is a BBKing recording, I'll hang my head in shame.

by Primitive Radio Gods.
"I've been downhearted baby, I've been downhearted baby/Ever since the day we met..."
And that snippet is a sample from a BB King song, actually.

2. oh. duh, I'm one of those people who'd be good for |
|
a misheard lyrics book!
Yes, that was it - I heard "Primitive Radio Gods" in background dj chatter but didn't connect it with the song. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for helping me out!
Now I've gotta go find the BB King song - I thought I recognized his voice. I love his voice. LOVE BB. Saw him at The Blue Note in NYC and he was freaking amazing, along with his band. Dayum.
BB King Blues Summit is one of the finest albums ever, IMHO -- Koko Taylor, Etta James, Ruth Brown, Katie Webster, John Lee Hooker. Excellent.
Again, thanks so much for your help.

3. do you know which recording of the song? |
|
Looks like it's from "How Blue Can You Get?" but the only recording on YouTube (quick search) shows the Blues Brother 2000 video and it doesn't sound to me like the same recording...
anyway, thanks again. I'll take my obsession elsewhere. ;-)
