I've got to help my daughter make carrot cake for her Girl Scout troop

tonight. I love carrot cake, but I don't feel like baking. :(

She's supposed to do it herself, but what are the chances of that happening? :)

Oh well, I'll have to be a good daddy and just do it, but I'm keeping half the cake!!

All I ever earned was the "burn a hotdog and marshmallows over the fire badge".

3. Yeah, it's for a badge, but only part of what she needs to do.

We finished a little while ago. She did a lot, and did quite well. She enjoys cooking and learning, so it wasn't all that bad.

Cookies, omg, cookies. They already did those and I hate when she has to do that. Pretty soon we'll have boxes and boxes of those things sitting in the house waiting to be distributed. :)

I sliced the edged off the cake just now to clean it up before icing it, and I'm eating those pieces now. Threw a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream on top. Yum. :)
