Ok...I do like bad movies.
Ok...it's a weakness for me. Right now, I'm watching "Casino Royale" on TCM. My god, this is a train wreck of a movie...but I just can't resist movies like this. :-)

Anyone else an fan of bad movies?

1. I've never admitted this before
I've never admitted this before, but I actually enjoyed "Starship Troopers" once I realized not to take it seriously at all or expect decent acting, or good pacing or adequate directing. But other than that...

Ever watch any of the movies on Movie Classics in the daytime?

OhmyGod. The worst b/w westerns ever filmed.

2. Memememememe!!!
I love horrible movies like that!

Not the overhyped and overfunded crap movies like Titanic and Pearl Harbor.

The ones that are corny but still a blast to watch.

Conan The Barbarian
Krull
Flash Gordon
Masters Of The Universe
Smokey and the Bandit 2
Cannonball Run movies
Etc...

Those.

4. I love bad movies.
Only when there are 2 robots and a guy watching it. Mystery Science Theater 3000 rules.

I should buy some of the DVD sets. I have about 30 movies recorded on tape.

5. Oh yes indeed.
In college, my friends and I, deeply bored, went to see "Passenger 57." Yikes. We started quietly mocking the movie; easy enough, it was so predictable, I think the writers phoned it in. People started overhearing us, and instead of asking us to shut up, they started straining to hear us. Pretty soon the entire audience was doing it.

A great time was had by all.

8. Ha! my friends and I too...
it was a two dollar theater, there were no niceties.

To this day, we still go around inquiring of others: "do you gamble? Well, I suggest always betting on black."

15. for really REALLY bad nightmare sequences, tho
You have to turn to the "Reefer Madness" and "Cocaine Fiends" school of docu-spookies! There was one with Sonny Bono back in the '70's--bad acid trip, I think.....

I'm a huge fan and pseudo-scholar of old exploitation films, treat the press books & lobby cards as relics to be worshipped and sure, maybe one day hocked on ebay...

11. Night of the Creeps
The most hilarious movie I ever saw. Slugs jumping in people's mouths, turning them into zombies.

12. You have plenty to choose from, the last 20 years
Nope, I don't like bad movies. Leave that to my roomie. Life is too short. The garbage that has been foisted upon us the past 20 years is too much for me to take. Cary Grant, Why did you forsake us?

21. I'm a sucker
For post-apocalyptic Road Warrior type movies with Bruce Dern. If Bruce is in it you know it's got to suck. How many are there? Two? Twenty? They're all the same, they all reek, and I just can't help but watching them.

Guess I really do miss Cinemax.

so bad they're good. And oh so quotable.

Helen Lawson to Neely O'Hara: "look, they drummed you right outta Hollywood. So you come crawling back to Brawdway. Well, Brawdway doesn't go for booze and dope!"

"NO WIRE HANGERS IN THIS HOUSE"....

27. Woody Allen makes the mess watchable...
I love the firing squad scene. "What if I told you I was pregnant?" amongst a dozen other hilarious one-liners... being Dr Noah, the man behind Valentine Dyall's impressive voice, also resuscitated the movie too.
