one of my subordinates. She thinks Kerry intentionally insulted the troops...I counter with the bush gaffe "They don't stop looking for ways to hurt America, and neither do we". She figures she's got me figured out...I counter with "yeah, I'm one of those damn libruls (accent included)". She says she'll be praying for me...I counter with "guess that's because I'm one of those godless heathens". She wonders how my parents raised me...I counter "I guess they did pretty good...college educated, MBA in hand..and your boss now".


Did I tell you how much I hate these repubes?

keep a professional distance with "subordinates." I know the desire is strong to confront and conquer with our silly little weapon the truth but it is not worth pissing one off to the point of a harrassment charge. And no doubt in 24 hours your environment will be ripe for strutting but I would suggest you just button it up and proceed with the mission of your employer. Love ya teammate.

I'm flying this trip with a repug copilot who is also bent on getting me to "see the light." Used to get a lot of trips like that, although they are thankfully becoming more rare.

I detest freepers--to the point of near-insanity. Almost got in a couple of fights with them. I wouldn't talk to my freeper dad except that he's still married to my mom, and I remind her that he's still a freeper.

You can remind her that Bush* is technically a deserter, Gore and Kerry are veterans, and most of the rethugican leadership are draft-dodgers. If she doesn't like having a boss who's liberal, she can go sign up and join the troops in Iraq or Afghanistan. The recruiting upper limit is 42, so she has no excuses. :evilgrin:

No one even tries to convert me -- but I'm pretty lucky. Most of the repukes at work aren't there very often and, at least on my side, liberals are the overwhelming majority.
