Why is it
that I'm feeling tense and edgy all of a sudden?

Yesterday I was fine...confident and optimistic, albeit tinged with a little caution because of '04. Today, though...

I don't get it. And it's making me feel even worse.

1. I'm so flipped out, I've become nauseous.
Yet, I can't back. away. from the computer...
I feel your pain. We've all been rather traumatized.

10. I know this isn't terribly generous of me...

2. PTSD
I think we are all feeling it to some extent. 2004 was fucking hard to deal with and I don't think most of us have gotten over it. I know I haven't.

6. Yup.
Especially since so many of the underlying issues have yet to be addressed.

12. Makes sense
After 2004, I won't relax until the Dems have actually been sworn in and taken up physical residence.

Which fuckin' pisses me off. It shouldn't be this way.

3. Me too.
I think it's just an election day thing. We're so used to them stealing the elections. I'm so nervous.

13. Nervous doesn't begin to describe it.
I'm so afraid that they're going to try and steal this one, too.

I'm terrified that they'll do it.

17. I really hope not.
I'm excited and scared. I can't wait to get off work. I'm going to watch the election results with some friends.

19. I hope not, too
but I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't in the back of my mind. Too many things up in the air with the electronic voting and the paper trails vs. lack of. Too many repukes willing to do too many things to make sure things go their way -- or at least appear to. One county here (that's a primarily democratic county) has already said that if the difference is 6,000 votes or less, they're going to contest the results.

I hate feeling like this...it's driving me crazy.

14. My stomach is turned inside out
And I don't have any apetite...yet I've been eating all day. Just from nerves.

I just got back from picking daughter up from the library and stopped at Arby's. I'm going to really regret it, but I can't stop it, either.

15. I want 'em to just go away.
All of 'em. Apologize. Concede. Then fade into oblivion.

Or the penal system.

9. Do something to keep yourself busy.
I'm going outside to do some yardwork to help the time go faster.
I'm so excited to hear the election results tonight that I can't sit still for long.

And just think of the big smile that will be on all our faces tomorrow!
