69. Gladly! :)
I will post a link for the gingerbread (it's the one that uses buttermilk), and I'll serve it with real whipped cream which is so easy to make I don't know why people buy the Cool Whip stuff.
http://southernfood.about.com/od/gingerbreadrecipes/r/b1307271.htm

The pumpkin soup is something I make up as I go along without a recipe, but this is the general plan:
Saute some chopped onion in butter, add a little chicken stock or bouillon (or suitable substitute if you're vegetarian). Add some canned pumpkin puree and about 1/4 as much peanut butter as pumpkin puree. Mix it all over medium heat, and add more stock/bouillon to a nice soup-like consistency. I will often add a splash of tomato juice if I have it, and some cream for a nice consistency toward the end of the cooking (I simmer it for about a half hour). I vary the spices, but will go with things like cinnamon, cloves, and allspice tonight. I have a friend who is allergic to peanuts so I have made it with coconut milk instead of peanut butter and used curry spices.

This was a great idea for a thread, btw! It feels like being part of a big party with all kinds of awesome goodies and drinks!:)

Steak marinated in Emeril's Lemon, Rosemary, & GAAALIC sauce and basted with a sauteed garlic, butter, and beer basting sauce, salad with chopped onions, fresh mushrooms, and wedged tomatoes dribbled with safflower oil, fresh sliced mushrooms sauteed in garlic and butter, and whole kernel corn.

Yeah, it'll be yummy.
