1. How long have you been with your SO? |

...just wonderin'...
And just how is she guilt-trippin' you?
From about age 6 on, my son would always say:
Guilt. A mother's best weapon.
But, he also started saying about the same time:
I'll do it, Mom. But, just so you know, reverse psychology doens't work for me.
Hope things smooth out for you, WindravenX! :pals:

Last year, I turned down spending the holidays with him so I could spend it with my mom-- it turned out to be a disaster because my dad came out and admited he was cheating on her :(

4. Then your mother is a controlling, emotionally stunted manipulative (blank) |
|
Sorry to be so blunt, but it's election night.
I'm right, though - there's no legitimate reason for guilt tripping like that, unless the person has issues of control, power, and also some emotional problems.
If it was my mom, I'd write her off.

8. did i mention she threw all his stuff out in the rain? |

It was amazing. And stressful.
My SO's family may be Mormon, but at least the holidays with them are nice. I need something like that this time--stressfree holidays.

DO NOT TOLERATE GUILT TRIPPING. I had a gal at work in tears on the phone, her mom was doing that - I hung up the phone for her - I told her DO NOT TOLERATE THIS BEHAVIOR. When mom called back she was much more apologetic and toned it down a bit.
