For those of you who like to avoid GD...
One of the more entertaining posts in a while.

(Be sure to read the actual OP.)

2. Seriously this is what I was talking about
with my post that things have gotten awful snarky in GD. It is a CLEAR attack on the repubs and half of those people seemed to miss the point.

6. Well, the OP should have used the scarcasm smilie.
This is an important day, and while I'm not without a sense of humor, sometimes it's better to use :sarcasm: in a post like that. Just sayin'.....

7. But if you actually read the post, it's in no way neccessary.
Like I said in the thread itself, it's about as subtle as a punch in the throat.

8. No, it's not better to use the sarcasm smiley.
People don't read. And on an internet message board, it's sort of an important thing to do. People who can't be bothered to read even the first few lines of a post deserve to be exposed for just that. It was clear. It was obvious. And, even if it somehow was missable right at first, large bold letters were added and people STILL replied without reading.
Sarcasm is funny because you have to 'get' it. If it has to be pointed out with a red animated gif, it's pointless and hackneyed.
