4. The rationalizations have begun over in Freeperville

One line is that a lot of the newly elected Dems are gun toting right-wing lefies not true bleeding heart lefties. I guess it makes the Freepers feel better to think that the house will be in the hands of Republican Lites. Another theme is that it's a repudiation of Neo-Con values, not "Conservative" values.

They seem to be staying well away from any suggestion that today represents a referendum on the Occupation and the "war" on terrorism. What it comes down to for them is that the people support Republican values, but for some inexplicable reason the Dems are winning big.
