...to be a freakshow. I'd settle down with the tribe (if they'd have me) and leave all that 'Age of Exploration' macho bullshit behind.
And I'd probably try to get the message out that it's a good idea to blow away any white face that sets foot on the shore.

I think a semi-annual bath was the norm among the ruling class in Europe at the time. Baths were considered dangerous and inimical to good health. Clothes-changing was also a rarity, with one suit per person being fairly typical. I believe the sales of perfume rocketed in those days.
The poor native Americans (or whatever the correct collective name for the inhabitants of this continent were before we renamed them) must have nearly fainted when they encountered the first settlers.
