6. Saw Runnng With Scissors

Last Saturday. Way better than I thought I it would be. You see, I loved the book and films seldom live up to the books that they are based on. This one definitely did. A very moving film and if Annette Bening doesn't at least get a nomination this year as best actress, there is no justice in this world. Jill Clayburgh too as supporting actress.

And she was awesome. She always is. I loved her in Bugsy too. But you really have to see Running With Scissors. It's based on the personal memoirs of Augustyn Burroughs. Official website is here:

Check it out and then go see the film. It deals quite frankly with teenage homosexuality and mental illness, but in a very touching and sensitive way.

10. Babel and Casino Royale

I wasn't keen with the casting of Daniel Craig (two first names thinking he'd be Cher times two ;-)). But now that I've seen the trailer, the grittier Bond looks preferable. Plus, I want to see the parkour sequence.
