Mrs R has been playing games with me. |
|
Specifically, "Boggle."
It's a lot of fun. And she's astonishingly good at it, especially for someone whose native language is not English.

2. So buy a copy of Boggle, and find someone to play it with. |
|
Can't be that hard.
But I do appreciate your sentiment.

Been looking for 16+ years. But we're not supposed to look, of course... :D

3. Arg. Word based games. My wife, being an english major, loves them. |
|
Me, I tend to get clobbered.
Good to see you and Mrs R are having fun though!

10. Well, you shake some cubes with letters on them into a grid, then try |
|
to make as many words as you can from the letters on the faces of the cubes that are facing up; up and down, across, or diagonally, if that makes any sense to you.
Just go buy a copy. You'll like it, and I bet Mr Peg would too.

9. Nobody in my family will allow me to play Scrabble. I've NEVER lost a game |
|
of Scrabble, going back thirty years or so.
And they have long memories, my relatives do.

having fun, is there? Besides, if you're drinking rum, you can play the rules of "it may not be a word, but it should be," like "limfrugel" or "kodnatz."

22. My rules: No Scrabble dictionary. Period. I may be a heretic, but I insist on |
|
using a "normal" dictionary.
If you don't it skews the game toward the obsessed, rather than the well-rounded reader.
I'm sure you understand.

Let's invent a language. Limfrugel sounds like a fruit, and kodnatz, well, I'll leave that one up to you ;)

is our new fav word game..... an added bonus, you can play it in solitaire mode, too.....
edit to change subject from Qudditch to Quiddler. (NOT the same game at all - one is cards and one played on flying brooms! Though I plead that my son IS watching one of the Harry Potter movies right now - and fatigue from staying up late last night to watch the returns!)
