4. The "King of the Block" on my street is a solid grey Manx.

My Russian Blue (Pushka Anastasia Sovyetskaya) got nicknamed The Invisible Cat within days of her arrival. She's exactly the colour of a shadow and even in daylight she's hard to see if she's sitting in deep shade. By dusk or at night she's quite invisible. Russian Blues are a natural breed, and I suppose that their colour (a recessive gene) would have given them an evolutionary advantage in hunting in the long twilights of northern Russia. I believe that in old Russia the "blue cats of the North" were regarded as bringers of good fortune.
