you'd want to haunt, to scare them?

I can think of two: a blood relative and a biddy who married into the family.

1. I Would Haunt My Sister
So I could hang out in her spa at night and drink her expensive wine. LOL. Awesome question.

2. Not to scare
I don't think. When I die, I would only want to watch over my children and protect them, hopefully better than I can now.

3. i'd like to give comfort to a few people
also, i'd like our mother to come to us in dreams and apologize

we'd wake up laughing hysterically, but hey, it sure would be fun.
