Gun and games forum (gun enthusiasts) in foul mood today.
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 04:17 PM by Deep13
Gun and Games is a forum website that talks about firearms. Naturally, they have their share of paranoid UN black helicopter types.

Post from one of their moderators:

"T2K while I am surprised that you agree with some things I have said -- like I have said in the past a vote for a democrat is a vote for communisism and the destruction of our great country. So all of those who voted democrat should be ashamed and should be aware that they will ultimately be responsible for the destruction of our economy with social programs and the giving away of the USA to Mexico and the UN.

I'm getting a little sick of being compared with Stalin just because I think we should have affordable health care and decent wages. LBJ was the most liberal president in history and he tried to bomb the communists into the stone age. Frankly, the Rs have been soft on communism since Nixon opened relations with China. Now Bush has put us so far in debt to those red !!!!!!!s that we have no leverage with them and he has done nothing about N.Korea. BTW, whatever happened to that spy plane they stole from us?

The destruction of our economy is being caused by corporate interests with the blessing of the federal government moving American economic assets overseas. That and the inability to continue to feed our gluttonous appetite for oil and increasing foreign debt. All this is with the blessing of the Rs in Washington. Social programs aid the economy, not hinder it. If it wasn't for liberals we would be working 16 hours a day every day for peanuts. Further, it is your precious president that has done nothing to keep out illegal aliens and still wants a "guest worker" program so foreigners can keep undermining your standard of living.

Most of the new members of Congress are not what one would call ultra-liberal anyway. Many of them are pro-gun. I was happy to pull a lever for Ohio's new governor. He has an "A" rating from the NRA. The previous R governor has an "F" because of his opposition to conceal and carry. Even Sherrod Brown with a "D" NRA rating is still an improvement over DeWine's "F". I've never had cause to be ashamed of the Democratic party even with their occasional support of gun control. On the other hand, the responsibility for Bush's constant undermining of constitutional limitations on the executive branch, selling of the public interest to his rich friends and his turning this country into the world's school-yard bully rests squarely on those who support him despite the evidence.

Oh, and the current total in the Senate is 49 Rs, 49 Ds and 2 independents who caucus with the Ds. Allen and Burns each conceded. Say goodbye to any future neocon judges.

1. We're giving the U.S. to Mexico?
That doesn't seem right. I think that we should at least charge them a handful of beads or something for it...

2. I guess we took some of it from them in the 1840s.
