New Year's Resolutions!
Post 'em here!

My goal is to lose some weight and exercise more. I also want to stop eating so poorly- no more potato chips, dr. pepper, and fattening snack foods.

I'm also resolving to work more for my candidate. I will be heading to New Hampshire in a few weeks and going door to door, and I've already starting putting in hours in the campaign office.

3. I don't make resolutions. What I do instead
is to pick one thing about myself I think is no longer working for me. Some habit I have or a way of thinking or behaving that may have gotten result in the past, but no more.

I write that down on a slip of paper and carry it with me for about a week prior to New Year's Day. I pull the paper out of my pocket often and look at it, think about the things that are tied up in or tentacled to that specific thing. Ponder what course I'll take without it.

On New Year's Day I pull it out for the last time, set the paper on fire and symbolically let go of that aspect of my life or personality which is no longer needed.

Here's the thing: Secret's have power. The thing I let go of has to stay secret until after I've let go of it, or the gesture is empty.

6. Get a different job
If I accomplish that, I should be happier and more inspired to do more with my life.
