3. I've never understood how a sports game can make one "proud"

It's totally - and I mean totally - beyond me.

Yeah, when I was in NYC, it was great when the Yankees (my fave b-ball team) won, but it never made me feel "proud" or "more valid as a human being".

But maybe I'm just too evolved in a sense of defining myself on myself, and not externals, to ever understand how some group of sports fucks winning a sports game can make me feel "proud" due merely to a random geographic proximity or through identification with the team as a "favorite".
