Well, Cal Thomas says there's no torture in Gitmo. He went there.

So, since Cal was clearly steered away from any area in which torture was happening or else Gitmo just shut it down for the two hours he was there saw no torture happening, he is of the firm conclusion that the whole 'torture' thing is made up by the american liberals and European leftists.

Because we all know that if torture were happening, the soldiers and the US Government would have proudly made absolute sure that Cal got to see as much of it as possible, and wouldn't try to hide it. No sirree. They sure wouldn't do that.

I get physically ill whenever I hear his supercilious and usually baseless pronouncements (which I unfortunately do hear on the radio on certain mornings). Except for his McCarthy-esque statement the other week, i.e. "Commies lie!" That one was just funny.

3. To his credit, he does occasionally hit the mark correctly

Not real often, but I always read him, and in the last two years he's had a couple times of calling out the Republicans on their bullshit.

I saved his column from last December when he told the republicans to shut up about the 'War on Christmas', that it didn't exist, it's a non-issue, that stores asking their employees to say "Happy holidays" doesn't mean there is a massive anti-Christian element happening, and that it makes them look stupid.

It was a great article!
