Pet pics! Post 'em here, folks!
Sibling rivalry: Our Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger, warm and toasty inside my studio, while his brother, Barley, who lives across the street with Call Me Wesley's sister, does his best to beam his famous "look that kills" in toward the very oblivious Ginger. :eyes:

How's he liking Missouri by now?

Nice to see you, my friend!

P.S. Yes, Barley is perpetually pissed. He was born in our house and since he only lives across the street, his kitty-sonar brings him to our door every morning. Here's a shot of Barley at my patio door when he was younger and a bit less angry.

That's his little neighbor buddy on the other balcony. They will sit and stare at each other for hours.

And sleeping upside down.

And playing peek-a-boo.

Apparently, I'm boring.

A deep moment of quiet reflection and complementation.

AAAGGG! I forgot my favorite cuddle pictures!

And Sniffles being cradled like the king he is.

But, he doesn't mind taking a picture by his birthday cake (and we don't mind eating the cake!)

I have three leopard geckos. They're all shown on my hand in one of the pics. The females are albino and normal, and the male is a high-yellow/lavender. The lizards in the bottom pictures are bearded dragons. They're brother and sister.

And here are the bunnies, chilling in their outside "playpen:"

His name has actually been bastardized into poodles now. The reason for that is that, despite being 90lbs of fearless bulldog i still talk to him like a baby. His full name is Tiger Pee Pee Puddles.

He is what my aunt calls "a momma's boy" because he follows me around and tries to do whatever I am doing. All my cats do that, but Yogi sticks to me like glue. When I go to bed at night, he sits at each window for 15 minutes each "on the lookout." Then he sits in the doorway to my room like one of those gargoyle statues you see at entrances to buildings as if he is guarding me. Of course, if a loud noise comes along, he runs and hides behind my legs.

42. Keela! Noah & my australian shepard!
She was found near a freeway with her mom and sibling. Keela jumped into the car, scared crazy, but her family ran away. We reported her to the Humane Society as being found, but nobody ever claimed her. So, we asked them how long they could hold her for at the shelter and they said "only a few days and then we'll have to let her go"...basically have to put her to sleep. Well, Noah and Keela really bonded and he decided to keep her! So, she's spoiled and happy as can be! I'll post two pictures: one of her when she was a puppy (when we found her) and what she looks like today!

72. What an adorable puppy!!!
I love shelties and yours has such a sweet face... What a cutie!:loveya:

I actually think they make puppies this cute for a reason, LOL, since they can be such a trial, at least my Jack is, going through a biting phase, and I've asked both my vets what to give him for teething, but he still prefers to gnaw on me... *sigh*x(

Here are my guys:

Meneken:loveya:

Jack:loveya:

76. Meneken And Jack Are Cute Guys!
Are they both on a boat?

It looks like a life vest on Jack?

I had a Dalmatian once that went on a boat with us and when we threw the ski rope in the water he just jumped up and dove in. I had to jump in and literally save him because while he could swim, he had practically no body fat and was sinking and scared to death.

I still laugh though when I think about that because he just was so reflexive in jumping in.

80. Yup, they're both on a boat, taken this summer.
They spent a lot of time on my friend's boat this summer, especially Meneken (I didn't adopt Jack until the end of August), and he just loved it, was better on the boat than on land, LOL. He previously belonged to a very wealthy woman, who died, sister-in-law of Barbara Bel Geddes (Miss Ellie, on "Dallas") so my friend speculated that he may have been used to yachting...;)

My neighbor's Newfoundland swims, and my first cocker once swam in Lake Champlain. But I put life vests on my little guys, especially lively Jack, since I have no hope that they're "water dogs." Fortunately neither of them ever fell in. The ducks there are bigger than they are...:D

Your poor Dalmatian! They aren't water dogs, either... A fire engine, maybe...

And that's also Meneken's winning photo that earned him Nestle Pet of the Month for November. :woohoo:

81. His Only Trick Is Charm!
No, Dalmatians aren't water dogs. They were bred some with sporting dogs, so he probably had some flashback to his retriever genes or something and felt he had to go. He did love to chase tennis balls, etc., and the end of the rope looked like something to chase I'm sure, he just took off and jumped in the water though without even hesitating. It kind of freaked all of us on the boat out when he did it.

He was pretty young then, only about a year and half old or so. He died in 2005, well actually he had horrible back problems, and then must have had a stroke because he no longer could stand and when you tried to stand him (all in one day this happened) he would end up falling down after trying to stay up for about 10 feet going to his left. So he was euthanized that day while I talked to him and petted him, but I can't imagine that he would have had any quality of life, and he couldn't stand up to even go to the bathroom or eat, and I wasn't going to hold him up while he peed.

I had a cat once that was hit by a car and the vet had me giving him bladder medicine and manually squeezing his bladder 3 times a day over the litter box. That lasted 2 weeks. He got so he would start gagging when I walked in the room (medicines) and he wasn't getting any better so I had the vet euthenize him.

I hated both of those decisions, but having animals means that you eventually get to deal with those kinds of things unless nature takes them first.

How did I get to talking about this? Oh yeah, you had a pic of a dog that you lost, Sarah with the bows.

74. Here are my three...
First, our Rat Terrier, Pearl, and our new bigfoot boy cat (15 lbs, at least), Basil:

They are playmates and tag-team trouble makers.

And, our sweet 19 year old cat, Coco.

We also had a hedgehog for a while, but Zoodaughter sensibly decided to give him to a friend:

82. This is Myshra

This shot was taken at least 20 years ago. A tiny fuzzy white cat with a little grey cap. She's long gone now, but no cat can ever match her sweet nature. Your lap would never be unoccupied for long. She would catch birds, butterflies, and dragonflies, but never seemed to hurt them. She'd just bring them into the house and let them loose. Moths were another story, she loved them, especially the big fat ones. I found her outside the door one morning with a little dead garter snake next to her. The look on her face was a combination of pride and wonderment at her finding such a strange and exotic creature. Had I ever seen anything like this?!?

I still miss her, always will.
