I'm hiding out at work cause I don't wanna go to my apartment |
|
I don't wanna go back until I'm sure the landlord's not paying attention. Don't get me wrong, they're nice enough. But I've been gone for xmas and I know if he sees me he'll come to say hi. I'm one of those that likes my living space to be MY living space. No one else allowed unless you've been invited. So I'll hang out here until later. Does this make me a prick? Or just a grouch?

1. Walk up to your place hacking and coughing like you're sick.. |
|
and just keep walking as you say hello. You need to go to bed and get some rest - doncha know? :-)
doesn't make you a prick.. maybe a bit grouchy but those well meaning nice folks don't always get it when you don't wanna stop and talk every time you walk by.

8. Where are you now? Last I remember, you were |
|
looking at a journalist position north of Vancouver? What did you decide? Is that the place? My wife asked if you were in Prince Rupert?

9. Prince rupert was the job I turned down |
|
I now live in Alberta, I'll PM you the town, cause it is small and I don't need freepers phoning my boss to say "some liberal bastard has infiltrated your paper."
But I started about two weeks ago. Here...who is your wife? Does she have a DU name?

10. My wife does not have a DU name, yet, but I am |
|
working on it. She does however, say that she understands why you turned down the job in Prince Rupert-entirely too much sushine in Prince Rupert. right? My wife is from Winnipeg, MB, and has not become convinced that she needs to join DU, yet. Time will tell. Alberta is pretty right-wing, as I understand it. I don't envy you being surrounded by that environment; however, if the job is satisfying, then the environment can be handled. Congrats!

4. I moved out of two places like that (two family houses |
|
with the landlord downstairs. never again! I told them to please leave me alone and stop worrying what time I come home and what I do. Meeting me in the stairs everyday, is not acceptable. "But we're just being nice...". Stop "being nice then"...

Just another "Human Being...."
I don't know how old or experienced you are, but there are "ways" to distract "opinions."
Heck, maybe he has a friendly niece with 34D's your age....

Hell, everyone needs their space. That's what your paying for- your own space! Don't feel bad or anti-social for a second. I wouldn't like that either.

13. I completely understand. |

I'm really not anti-social, but I hate running into poeple I know when I'm at places like the supermarket. I don't know why, I just do. I smile and make polite chit chat, but I think I'd really rather just get the shopping done and leave. I hate it when people drop by unannounced, too. And, when I had a roommate there were many times when I wished she wouldn't be home when I got home from work. So, I don't think it makes you a grouch. Some of us just need our space.
