OK - what does this mean exactly?
Escribe 5 nombres para 15.
To write 5 numbers that make 15? (1+14, 2+13)
or 5 numbers BY fifteen? (13, 14, 16, 17)
or 5 numbers from fifteen (13, 45, 60)
??
Ok - so I'm having trouble with 2nd grade math now.

I knew that. . .
But I still don't know what THAT means! I think I'm over thinking this (my usual problem with math "word problems")
I mean - fifteen is fifteen (or quince!) -

It's a "new math" called what do you think the answer is?
Not really, but something like that. Actually I like the concept of getting kids to THINK rather than just give rote responses, but I'm thinking something was lost in the translation to Spanish on this particular problem.
My son's in a Spanish immersion school so the curriculum is being translated from English to Spanish. I don't know if the teacher's doing it or if there is an "official" Spanish text available for them.

Add numbers that make 15.
EDIT: Just realized nombres means names. Numeros means 15. So the question seems odd now.

and yes, it's asking for 5 names. I don't even think there *are* 5 names for 15.
Is this his Spanish homework or his math homework?
