Bought the new Who cd today... |
|
Best. Band. Ever.
Also, bought Cormac McCarthy's new book the road... it is terrific.
Lastly, had a nice espresso while at the bookstore. All in all, a pleasant afternoon.
Somehow everything seems better since Tuesday!

2. They're coming to my city soon |
|
but the tickets are $200.
Between that and the fact that Roger Daltrey has been fighting the fox hunting ban in England... I may stay home. I do love the music though.

4. You might want to consider waiting until the tour is over... |
|
...then purchasing the CD/DVD combo of whichever show fans say was the best of the tour.

11. It's not the same though :-( |
|
I saw them once live. Amazing.
Hard to want to give them money though when I know what a redneck Daltrey is.

|
"Not Enough" during twofer Tuesday, but it doesn't have the same upbeat tempo. How's the rest of the album ?

5. Wow, I also bought the Who album and "The Road" recently!!! |
|
"The Road": Depressing, moving, I cried at the end and hugged all my kids a LOT closer then next few days!!
"Endless Wire": Favorite songs = "God Speaks, of Marty Robbins" (beautiful! I cried! I listen to it every day!) and "Man in a Purple Dress" (a lovely, poetic rant against the Pope and other religious leaders)
You and I think alike!! Hasn't this last week been the greatest!!

6. I am 100 pages into The Road and will finish it after... |
|
I make my boys their breakfast.
It is incredibly moving.
And it is great to have a new cd from Pete and Roger. Sure, I know what all the cynics will say, but the music speaks for itself. The DVD is fun (even Roger messing up on WGFA).
I also bought Nelson DeMille's new John Corey book for some "junk" reading yesterday.
Give than we seem to think alike, let me know if you make any other interesting purchases. Lastly, I recently bought the new Yo La Tengo cd. Weirdly eclectic, but enjoyable.
