I would hesitate to call people like BS and that person she is married to, serious artists. I doubt that people are thinking of random celebs when they say that actors can spread useful messages.

The real problem, IMHO with celebs is not the celebs themselves necessarily, as the useless industry based on obsessively following their lives and the people that feed it with their curiosity.
