Poor Giada though. Is there room in kitchen stadium with Flay's ego there?

5. The two women were basically placed in the role of glorified |
|
sous chef, which made it a battle between Batali and Flay...surprise, surprise, surprise - Mario wins in a romp!! Flay's conduct was really pathetic...he really had minimal interaction with Giada through the whole thing, and she was clearly nervous working on her own. Maybe there was some history of bad blood between the two of them. She had a look of "I cannot believe I have to work with this asshole" look during the reveal of the judges! Rachael was actually relatively subdued from her usual manic self, with the exception of her exhortations about "I never bake!" about 25 or 30 times during the cooking...

I caught the replay at midnight but then fell asleep.
I was pulling for Rachael, who I thought was more relaxed and calm than Giada.

7. It was Mario and Rachael winning! The final point total was |
|
something like 53 to 46, with M&R having a points advantage in all three categories (taste, presentation, and originality, I think).

I love Mario, but I don't consider Rachel a chef. Did she just run around following his orders? ;-)
(go ahead flame me, I don't care). :hide:

in fact she herself said she's not a chef, and almost everyone there told her she sold herself short.
Not a flame, just a recollection of what happened.

10. Giada can come over... |

to my house anytime to make those cranberry zeppoli. It is a gross injustice that she didn't win.

Bobby Flay is a total, complete, egotistical prick.
