Court Upholds Lap-Dance Ban
:cry:

<snip>

CARSON CITY, Nev. -- There will be a little less sin in Sin City, thanks to the Nevada Supreme Court.

The court has ruled the Las Vegas lap-dance law is constitutional.

The ordinance spells out just what strippers can and cannot do while they entertain their patrons. The law was on hold after a lower court ruled it was unconstitutionally vague and unenforceable.

The ordinance bars strippers from fondling or caressing patrons, and the customers also have to keep their hands to themselves.

A divided Nevada Supreme Court held the law strikes a balance between the free expression rights of strippers and the need to protect society from prostitution, venereal disease and crime.
